R to L: NATPP students AY 23/24 at AIITEC, American Indian Day State Legislature, End of Year Graduate Celebration
IAIE is building a New Mexico teaching workforce that is as diverse as its population. The Native American Teacher Preparation Program knows that tremendous change can happen when students see themselves appropriately represented and reflected in the school system. This new scholarship program initiative works to fill a critical shortage of Indigenous teachers. In its first year of operation it has funded students across the state of New Mexico at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
This year our program was featured in an article by UNM News Room.
